KASPROWY WIERCH CABLE CAR TICKETS:

There are three places where one can buy tickets for the Kasprowy Wierch cable car. During the summer holidays I suggest to buy tickets in advance to avoid waiting in line to the box office in the cable car station in Kuznice.
  • directly in the cash desk, in cable car station in Kuznice, just before ride (they don't sell tickets for other days or hours - just for the next ride). This option is not recommended during the summer holidays in sunny days (huge queues!);
  • in the on-line shop belonging to Polskie Koleje Linowe - one can buy 1 to 7 tickets, maximum 30 days in advance and minimum 2 hours before the ride (the number of tickets is limited so during summer holidays it is better to buy them few days in advance). It is not necessary to print out the tickets - you just need to have them on your smartphone or tablet;
  • in one of the ticket machine situated in the centre of Zakopane

downhill tickets are not available in the pre-sell and can be bought only in the cash desk on the top of Kasprowym Wierch
HIGH SEASON: 29.04-03.05.2016; 26-30.05.2016 (and probably 27.06 - 31.08.2016). The prices of the tickets available in the cash desk in the cable car station in HIGH SEASON are the same, like in the SEASON.

KASPROWY WIERCH cable car ride:

The cable car trip to Mount Kasprowy (1987 m asl) takes approximately 10 minutes and takes place in two stages with a change in Myślenickie Turnie (1325 m asl). Once you reach the very peak of the mountain, should the weather permit, we strongly recommend the climb to meteorological observatory, which is in fact the highest situated building in Poland. We can then suggest a descent to Cicha Valley Pass to admire the breathtaking panorama of the High Tatras over the Slovakian side. We suggest completing the trip at the terrace by the restaurant overlooking the peaks of the Polish High Tatra mountains and the whole of Podhale region.
